Free (or budget-friendly) Type Tester/Type Preview Plugin Recommendations?

Hi everyone,

I’m in the process of setting up my online shop to sell fonts and would love to include a type tester/type preview feature. Since I’m just starting out, I’m looking for a free (or budget-friendly) plugin that I can use for this purpose.

If you have any recommendations or experiences with plugins that work well for testing fonts directly on a website, I’d really appreciate your input. Bonus points if it’s easy to integrate and customize!

Thanks in advance!

  • I use fontsampler.js. If you're using wordpress, there's a plugin. If not it requires some configuration and technical knowledge.
  • The Wordpress plugin has been deprecated for a while now, and as far as I understand will disappear from the plugin index in a while due to lack of updates, as I haven't found the time and motivation to keep it up to date with the ecosystem. Feel free to use the more generic Javascript version linked above, though, which I have in active use on several sites. It's a "developer" facing library, but with the given samples/docs I've seen people make it work on various platforms. :)

Hi Johannes, thank you, yes, I was thinking to use your plugin, but I am bit too late. I don't know much about coding but I will try to use the Javascript version in the link Kemie share.
