I like Typeboard too, but as Mark mentioned the domain is taken.

    How about ilovetypography.com ?

FYI, pica (piča) is a very offensive sexual word in Czech.

    Hrantless.com is available.
  • It was intended to be 72 points to 1 inch, but the 1/72 inch point was rounded down to .0138 inch so it could be expressed decimally.

According to the PostScript Language Reference, third edition, at p. 183:

"The default [PostScript] unit size (1 ⁄ 72 inch) is approximately the same as a “point,” a unit widely used in the printing industry. It is not exactly the same as a point, however; there is no universal definition of a point."

I was referring to the American point, paraphrasing from the book The Bentons, by Patricia A. Cost, published by RIT (2011).
  • Point taken.
  • typeboard.org is available.

Perhaps the name should more directly reference this forum's focus on letter making.
  • lettermaker.com has been registered by someone who'd prefer to be anonymous, according to Godaddy.  On the other hand, the owner of letterpal.com wants it known that they he or she will part with the URL for a mere $2188.  How about it, Letter Pals?
  • A little anachronistic Fake-Latin never fails to add a bit of klass:

    Colloquia De Typo Polita

    Disputatio Typus Urbanum

    Colloquia De Typum Polita

TypusConsilio  (auto translates as "Type desgin")

TypoConsilio  (auto translates as "Type of design", but sounds better.

    typusclava

    ClavaDeTypo

    DeTypo

    (Just throwin' stuff out here)

    (letterpals.org)

I'm not a fan of letterpals.

Putting this out there again: Type Drawer or Type Drawers = people who draw type / containers of type

Or, Letter Drawers, Letter Drawer (no puns on those, though).

The latin ones sound stuffy. Not Letter Pals. Sounds like a pre-school program.

Hell Box? (Although, domain doesn't seem to be available.)
  • How about "please-check-opentype-features-definition-for-errors.com"?

Right now my favorite is Type Drawers. It’s a double entendre that is unpretentious and friendly. Coming from Mark I can see it as one of those little bits of midwestern friendliness that goes a long way!

    +1 for TypeDrawers.com
  • OK, I really do need to start using emoticons.  "letterpals" was meant as a joke.  Sorry, all.

Sorry for thinking you were serious. Should have realized.

Now we have the domain, should the titles etc be switched over? it's still saying typeboard for me.
  • (Way late to this party.)

I do like Type Drawers but I'll admit CamelCase is not my cup of tea... (what is it that Hrant says?)
