Vintage, sentimental fonts

Hey all, I am looking for a font (or a number of fonts) that has the following attributes:

- Has a vintage air to it,
- Sentimental bordering on saccharine, reminiscent of an exaggerated post-war American optimism akin to Norman Rockwell's earlier paintings,
- Suitable for a small northwestern town welcome sign,
- Preferrably has semi-bold or bold letters,
- Preferrably cursive,
- A major plus: Has an off-kilter or quirky air to it.

I would love to hear all of your suggestions, the more the merrier.
