Extensis WebINK Webfont Service Closing Its Doors On June 30

Just noticed this.  Hope I'm not re-iterating an old piece of news.

On the site, they refer their customers to Typekit and Google Fonts.

They do have a nice links list to the foundries:

I think it was announced about a year ago, but of course as the date nears, it is especially topical.

As I wanted to continue using the Adobe fonts (including my own) that I was using through WebINK, I switched to Typekit, which was already included with my Creative Cloud subscription. It wasn't a lot of work, just took a couple of hours all told for two sites, including some debugging.

I'm glad they link to the foundries. I wonder why Webtype isn't mentioned as an alternative.

No link to OurType? Hmm, I thought their fonts were once available at WebINK. I guess they were pulled at some point.

Probably didn’t list Webtype because there is little or no overlap in available fonts?

As for OurType: yes, and yes.

Some of these fonts are also available from Fontdeck
