Minimum Thickness Script?

I'm playing around with some comping on a few font weights currently and I recall the mention of a python script that can force a minimum thickness fontwide. That is to say, where there are thicks and thins present in the font, there is a way to automatically force anything less than X to be at least Y thickness.
Can any kind soul point me in the right direction on what tools do this or something similar? Many thanks in advance for your assistance!
