Clicking "like"

I was viewing a discussion and thought to hit the "like" icon which I never usually bother with. A message saying I needed to be signed in came up so I signed in. Upon signing in the "like" feature disappeared and the only option left was flagging. Is this a bug or is it remnants of a feature that was removed?

Put your mouse pointer over the "Flag" word and the rest will appear.
