I'm working on a post-OpenType font format where font files are small neural networks, not confined to the little boxes inherited from metal typesetting, and I already have a working demo! I've heard people like Dave Crossland describe this idea before, but I've never seen a demo with all the features actually working.

You can copy, paste, delete, type, move the cursor around, and drag a kashida axis with a slider. It's all open source and built with the simplest possible neural network.

Play with the demo and find the source code on my blog: https://elih.net/blog/neuraltype/
