Launching a foundry with just one font

So, I have one fully complete typeface (Altamira) that I've published on YouWorkForThem, and I've been chipping away at building a website to demo it. However, it's still really early days, I just launched the foundry one month ago & I haven't promoted anything yet on social media (apart from a work in progress post on LinkedIn, which did OK). Nevertheless, I have been slowly stockpiling some social media posts to roll out, showcasing the typeface's functions and features.

I was wondering, for those of you retailing your fonts through your own foundry - did you strike out in the industry with just one font under your belt, or did you wait until you created a few before promoting yourself to the world?

I guess there's arguments for both sides. If you wait forever to promote your work, you miss the immediate opportunity to put yourself out there. But if you put yourself out there too soon, you might risk looking too small time, or that you're a bit of a 'one trick pony' that can't showcase skills in other type styles.

Decisions, decisions...

I am about to launch a second type foundry with only one typeface myself. I'll launch in a month or se and let you know how it goes. But I agree with Thierry. Ima a big fan of do your best work and put it out there then improve upon it. It takes year to build up a library and a years to build up a reputation. I say do them at the same time.
