Hello all!
I've been asked by many about my ATypI talk from 2023 and as it's not up on YouTube and to allow for more Q&A, I will be giving the same talk again on November 15 at 4pm UK time. You can sign up here for free.
There is another reason why I would like to give this talk again: On Dec 12, I will be giving an online seminar on Business Models & Pricing. This will be part of a new series of seminars on Font Business topics and in this one I would like to build upon the research that I presented at ATypI so this is one way to make sure the content is readily available for reference!

Part 1: Business models (perpetual, annual, subscription)
Part 2: Tier types (by usage, company size, turnover)
Part 3: Pricing tiers and multipliers
This will include a review of foundry pricing approaches across top foundries globally, based on publicly available information, as well as an update on distributor pricing models. My ATypI review did not include Monotype Fonts or Adobe Fonts but there is a need to assess how font subscription works and how it compares to the other licensing models.
