KaBK type and media course

Greetings, all.
I intended to submit a proposition to KaBK for a course in type and media. Does anyone have a notion about the criteria for judging? Is there anyone from KaBK in the community? Additionally, is there a sufficient number of employment opportunities in the locality for UI/UX or graphic design after completing the KaBK course?

There are a few KaBK graduates on this forum, however it may be better to personally reach out to some and introduce yourself, ask them some questions, and connect. A number of KaBK graduates are working in the type industry. If I was you I'd look through the past 10 or so years of the KaBK website(s) to get a feel for the type of work to include in your portfolio. I've heard varying stories about the type of work that got accepted—from type work to other design work.
