I was informed last week that Mark Solsburg has died from Alzheimers. His Fonthaus platform was one of the first font resellers to the market

I just recently came across this insightful interview with him: https://detroit.aiga.org/fonthaus_qa/

Thank you for letting us know, James. I used to meet Mark regularly at ATypI conferences in the 1990s, and was impressed with Fonthaus’ marketing.0

Sorry to hear that, James. I'd heard that he was not doing very well.
FontHaus was my first distributor, back in the nineties when signing with a distributor meant calling someone on the phone and exchanging faxes, and back when I didn't know anything about the font business. I used to talk to him on the phone a lot in those days, but only saw him a couple of times at conferences.2 -
FontHaus was one of my main go-tos in that era. Always enjoyed getting their catalogs. (Remember those?) RIP, Mark.

I remember in the early days of Fonthaus, Jonathan Hoefler's studio was listed as the Fonthaus Foundry2

Oh no. Such sad news. RIP, Mark.0

The FontHaus site and telephone are not working. Anyone an idea what is happening?0

The site seems to be working for me, although it's a bit slow to load.1
