Type design pain points

Hey guys.
What have been your pain points regarding type design lately?
From what I
can see around, it seems that type designers pains generally revolve
around the business side of things: marketing / social, licensing and the greedy marketplaces.
I have been out of the loop from the area for some years but those were also my pain points. I am wondering what could be done to resolve these and other pain points so... I am curious.
