Ignore users plugin

There is a Vanilla plugin that allows users to ignore—not show—posts by users they don’t care about. I don’t know if it is available on this host but I think it would be a good option for people who get sick of seeing long, meandering, or off-topic posts by the same guilty parties.

It's already available. I use and enjoy it. Here's how:

+ Click on the user's name to navigate to their profile/activity page

+ Select "Ignore" from the drop-down menu next to the the "Message" button

Posts from ignored users are visible but grayed-out, in the same way that posts that receive too many flags are "buried."
