Adobe webfonts

I've seen a few websites featuring my fonts where they are apparently hosted by Adobe fonts. My fonts aren't on Adobe Fonts (not for lack of trying!) so I was wondering what this means?

I think this means that people have added your fonts to their Adobe account and "self certified" that they have a license to do so.  If they do not, you can probably treat it like a normal license enforcement matter. Or, you can contact Adobe and see if you can get them to stop permitting it.  I've heard rumors that they have a list of foundries that don't permit it.  

I'm guessing a lot here.  The facts I know are that about a year ago Adobe started permitting people to add fonts that weren't already in the Adobe system, if they say they have a license to do so.  I had the impression it was only for desktop use, not web embedding, so this specific example is surprising.

“Adobe Fonts” does not host websites, just web fonts — and those fonts have to be licensed and officially added. That is, there is no way for fonts to be added to the Adobe Fonts service without a proper licensing agreement with the IP owner (the designer or foundry).

The relatively new “bring your own fonts” feature, which lets Creative Cloud users add arbitrary fonts to their CC account, only works for desktop fonts. There is no way for those fonts to be hosted for web use.

There is a feature available to some Adobe Spark users that allow fonts to be added to Adobe Spark Page documents, and those would be web fonts hosted by Adobe. In that case, the user needs to click through an acknowledgement that they are licensed to use the font(s) that way on the web.
