Problems with kearning in Glyphs 3

Hi. I have started to learn Glyphs and just downloaded Glyphs 3. In the new edition of the program I cannot do kearning as efficient as in the previous version. Whenever I use the arrow keys to change kearning up or down the kearning changes on the first push, but then the kearning window turns gray and I have to use the mouse again to enter the edit mode. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or avoid it?
