best tool to convert handwriting to font

Hi

I am looking for the best tool to convert a handwritten alphabet into a font with good standard kerning. The letters don't connect. This should make things easier, I guess. Any suggestions?

I recommend Scanahand but please be aware I'm the main developer. The upcoming release which is scheduled for next week will contain auto kerning.

Thanx Erwin, forgot to say I’m using a mac.

There are several options to run Windows or Windows software on a Mac, so that should not be an issue.

Alternatively you could give our online font generator yourfonts a try.
