Role

I recently received an email from Fontelier about the release of a big typeface family, Role, designed by Matthew Carter.
Now I see they talked about it here: https://en.morisawa.co.jp/about/news/4566 and while it’s always great to see a new Carter’s project, I was delighted to see Kunihiko Okano (which I befriended years ago when I was still designing) as leading part of the project team.
I was just saying «see how gracious that serif is» when I read of him. Role Serif is a sort of "perfect marriage" between Carter’s hallmark forms and Kunihiko's refined “meta-calligraphic details”.
Probably not something to meet Hrant’s taste but nonetheless… Haha!
