Introducing Pulpo Typeface

When I started in 2017 to draw a Clarendon with the skeleton of Century Schoolbook for a manual printrun I never planned to create a complete family, but I liked the result and became interested in the architecture of the Clarendon style. After all I think the Italics were the most difficult task. You can see the process in detail on the microsite

  • I'm a big fan of Pulpo, and I love the idea with which you started. Terrific work!

I hope one day sometimes will see the value of reviving Besley's Clarendon with the care it deserves. A few have brought it back, but they're just crude scans of old books. A real revival would be wonderful.
