Looking for a mentor online

Hello I am a graphic design student from Honduras, recently I been trying to learn type design, for the past 2 months I been learning how to use Glyphs app; I feel like I am able to use most of the tools right now.

I am trying to create something, but I feel like I am lost somehow. I don't have much to offer, but maybe someone could hop on google hangouts and tell my what I am doing wrong, give me direction and advice.

Like I said, I don't have much to offer but maybe In the future I can help you with something else.
