FontForge freezes

Latest FontForge freezes whenever i open complex glyph (with so much nodes in it), while the old version  (the one supported in linux mint repo, and with old looking interface) open it smoothly. Can anyone troubleshoot the problem? Does it have something to do with my PC capability? Thanks...

I think you would be better off getting in touch with the developers of Font Forge, back when I was using Font Forge I always found them to be very helpful and friendly.

Probably a better place to ask than this forum.

No, it has to do with fontforge being unmaintainable.

@Paul Miller oh well, you're actually right, i'll tell the developer. Thanks. @Dave Crossland glad to hear that, i couldn't afford any more cost for upgrade haha

What I mean is that, despite our best efforts, the quality of the FontForge codebase has decayed over time, since changes to improve one aspect often have unintended side effects that make other aspects worse. Your problem is typical example of that. 

I have much hope for trufont.github.io to replace FontForge, in time.

TruFont? Can you tell me more about it? Is it freeware? Is it Under development? Is there a thread about trufont here i can catch up?
