Kerning window in Fontlab 5

Hi,
Does anyone know if there's a way to set up Fontlab 5 metrics window so that the scroll bar goes horizontally instead of vertically? It's annoying when kerning and the string gets line breaks in it. If it was just one long horizontal string that I could scroll side to side through, that would make life a lot easier!

Although the FontLab Studio 5metrics window has a lot of options, I am reasonably sure there isn’t any way to do what you are asking for, sorry to say. I understand why you would prefer the implementation you describe, however.
FontLab VI uses a virtual page for the layout. You can fit in more by making the text smaller, so at minimum size it won't max out until around 120-200 glyphs on a line, depending on the glyph widths. You can then zoom in as little or as much as you like.
