Hey All!

Steven Heller featured a book a few months back on his blog I've been nose deep in and totally think others in our profession would 'get' - In fact there are a few references to type design in there, an unexpected but pleasant surprise.

Also, I think this book also partially appeals to me as a semi-futurist, an attribute I believe is shared with other font designers who bridge the gap between creativity, methodical processes and a Longview mentality.

  • I enjoyed "The Brand Gap" by the same author (Marty Neumeier). Ordered!
  • I saw the same Steve Heller piece and also bought it. I'm about halfway through. It's pretty good so far.
  • I'm impressed mostly with the brevity of his writing. . .

Unless I’m misremembering, I believe Marty Neumeier was the creative force behind the short-lived brilliant quarterly Critique magazine back in the ’90s.

Ha, I just found the Heller article and there he confirms right off what I just said. Don’t mind me.
