Separately, how does the MyFonts panel feel about font 'gesture' cribbing? That is to say, one takes a copy of an existing font, runs it through a distressing filter and calls it a new creation?
When the Review Board sees a font submitted which is clearly a copy of an existing font but has been re-traced, tweaked, and resubmitted as their own, that new foundry is rejected.0 -

Ethically or legally I’d say it isn’t. But context – creation date, author, intention – matters, too.6 -
