Webpage to check language coverage of a given character set?

Hi there,

I need to generate a list of the languages supported by the characters sets/encodings I use in my fonts. Can you recommend a webpage or resource that would tell me on exactly which languages are supported by a given glyphs list?

Hi Ramiro,
you’d first need to define which characters are needed to support a given language. Underware has built an online validation tool that will give you a report about the covered languages, but their definition is not an established standard, and more inclusive than other definitions.

Hmm. Seems more exclusionary in other ways. For example, I find it curious that Underware’s tool thinks that German and some related languages are not supported if capital ẞ (U+1E9E) is not present. And Dutch is not supported if precomposed íȷ́ (ijacute — unencoded) is not present. (Or not assigned PUA U+E132/E133.)

I made some test at the Underware's page and I agree with Ken. Considering that a font does not support Dutch just because it has no ijacute, or that does not cover German because it has no capital ẞ it is not accurate. OT Master does a more precise job

Oh, we are in agreement: I meant more inclusive in terms of characters, not fonts. Should have used demanding.
