I just saw that. But has Marabou (nicely youthful chocolate BTW) been using their lc "m" since before M&M showed up in Sweden? Smacks of protectionism to me.
But anyway, as long as letters are in the news... :-)1 -
I'd like to have gleefully cheered for the underdog from the sidelines, but hey... They're both owned by international conglomerates so, to Hell with the both of them. Go lawyers!
(FWIW, My highly trained designer eye sees no similarity, and I think that's an uppercase M in Marabou's logo. Mixed case a best.)0 -
I was confused at first too, but apparently Marabou also uses a heavy slab lc "m": http://www.confectionerynews.com/var/plain_site/storage/images/publications/food-beverage-nutrition/confectionerynews.com/manufacturers/mars-may-be-banned-from-selling-m-m-s-in-sweden-after-trademark-ruling/11168277-1-eng-GB/Mars-may-be-banned-from-selling-M-M-s-in-Sweden-after-trademark-ruling_strict_xxl.png
But yeah, lawyers, yay...1 -
That's hilarious.0
