Igor Viarheichyk announced today that

A new FontReport tool was recently launched: https://github.com/googlei18n/fontreport

FontReport is a tool for visual evaluation of font features. It takes a TTF or OTF font as its input and generates a PDF report. The report visualizes glyphs rendering, unicode coverage, OpenType features and substitution rules using actual glyph shapes defined in the font.

This can be useful for new font testing (e.g. glyph shape matches its unicode mapping) as well as for evaluating a font for particular usage (e.g. check that it provides nice stylistic alternatives, or good local glyph variants for Urdu).

Alternatively, it can generate a plaintext output for non-visual tasks automation.

Your feedback and improvement suggestions are highly appreciated.
