ABOUT US

Colophon is a London & Los Angeles & New York-based independent type foundry established in 2009 by The Entente (Anthony Sheret & Edd Harrington) and joined in 2013 by Benjamin Critton Art Dept. The foundry's commissioned and bespoke work in type design is complemented by independent and interdependent initiatives in publishing, curation, exhibition, and pedagogy, with a focus on local and international partnerships with institutions both large and small. The Entente, a design and typography office is also run from the same location. Our clients include Google, Stanley/Barker, Made Thought, UEFA and Rapha amongst others.

THE POSITION

Working from our London office, we are looking for a motivated and focused individual to work full-time across a range of projects from print design, book and publication design, art direction and typeface design. You will be working on everything from initial design concepts all the way through to final production and management across a wide range of outcomes.

SKILL SET

Essential skill set

— Cope well under pressure
— Take initiative
— Work in a team
— Knowledge of full Adobe Suite
— Understand our design and stylistic aesthetic
— Previous experience in Type Design would be recommended

Beneficial Skills

— Font development
— Knowledge of coding languages: HTML, jQuery, PHP, Python

The individual may be a graduate, or will have graduated within the last year or two, but more importantly be able to show a strong portfolio of previous work and examples.
