Real Names Implemented, please test.

Vanilla has implemented the real names support you asked for and funded. Rather than making real names a required field, the Vanilla team extended the user name functionality. You can now have usernames with up to 50 characters and spaces, and users can change their own user name. So please try changing your user name to your real name and let me know if you have any problems.
Thanks again to everyone who donated to make this happen.

Works great. Thanks, James! Thanks, technology!0

The user and all related content has been deleted.0

Excellent! Though it would be better if there was no "Real Name" field in the user profile and there was a note under the username field that real names are encouraged.1

I don't know what it is, but I like it so much better seeing people's names. Makes us look like adults.5

James: What about just deleting the original "Real name" from the form and re-labelling the "Username" field as "Real name"?1
-
@James Puckett
Ouch. I think we just broke the cross-reference feature with the spaces in names.1 -
I don’t think the username field can be renamed, it’s probably hard-coded in Vanilla.
I’ll let them know about the broken cross-referencing. I need to send them a lists of accents we need anyway.0 -

Does the following glyph set look good for names?

They probably won’t fix that until tomorrow or Tuesday. I didn’t send that problem in immediately because I wanted to see what else was broken first.0 -
Well, cacute goes, dcroat not.0

Tried to update my profile with real name but whenever I saved the new info was lost.0
