Font customization price quote

Hello everyone,
This is my first time posting a question on TypeDrawers.
I've been approached by a potential client asking for a quotation for a font customization from an existing font where the license allows this. The client would need me to remove all ink traps in 4 weights to make it a display font and slightly change a few glyphs. One weight has around 700 glyphs in it.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

First, you should contact the IP owner and ask if they want to do the work. Even if the EULA allows third party modifications, this is the neighborly thing to do. Then since it's just a production job, estimate your time and multiply that by your rate.5

Thank you for your suggestion Jackson, I'll try to contact them.
It is indeed only a production job, so I'll know what to do.
Thanks.
