Broken: Mentioning usernames that have spaces

When you type an “@” you get a popup menu with user suggestions. After selecting a user, the mention is written thusly: @Stephen Coles. This syntax doesn’t work. So, this is just a note that I am aware of this issue and reported it to Vanilla who is also aware of the issue and have it in their queue for fixing.
In the meantime you can make mentions work by removing the quotes and adding a “%20” between the words in a user name: @Stephen%20Coles

I just enabled the “Quote” button which will add a properly linked user name for you. This is not a complete fix for this issue, but it helps in the interim.1

Hmm, it looks like they may have fixed this. At least the autosuggest syntax works now. But does it send folks a notification when they are mentioned? Let’s test:
