You probably need to keep waiting to hear back from MyFonts. As of earlier this year there was a backlog of at least five months for submissions by new foundries.1 -

Adding chat would be hard. The forum would have to migrate to a different hosting service to add chat features. That might require that James and Tiffany put in a lot more work managing the site.2
