I don't think either of those things are required; you can put out code with no documentation and ask people who use it to write it, and you are under no obligation to provide support to anyone :)1 -

Personal opinion: Copyrights do not need to be filed, that is optional. The Berne convention makes automatic copyright nearly universally uniform around the world.3 -

I agree with Frode, I would have 2 styles between Regular (400) and Bold (700) that have values 500 and 600, and I suggest naming them Medium (or Book) and SemiBold1
