  Wouldn't OT justification (at least in theory) get you this? I know Behdad was implementing this in Harfbuzz and apps which use it.

  I don't see enough visual distinction between the /A and /R, especially in the italic. (And doubly especially in the bold.) "ENTRANCE" is really hard to read.
