Description samiel 2021-10-10 15:18:50 UTC
For a large family of fonts LO commonly makes available only some of the faces. If have a font where the Regular is weight class Book, 400 and the Style map Regular and the Medium is weight class Medium, 500 and the Style Map still Regular. LO show only Regular, but not Medium. There is some wrong in font handling

Samiel, can you give an example of such a font (either installed or free to download). Thank you

Sure! For example, I use Raleway, available in Google Font, which has a lot of weights. Indeed, it was using this font that I realized the problem. While, on MacOS, Pages also recognizes Medium weight, it lacks it in LO

Perhaps MacOS-related. I installed the font familiy and I can select Raleway Bold, Extra Bold, Extra Light, Light, Medium, SemiBold and Thin.

I dont't use Windows, but Debian Linux and Apple. As I have already pointed out in the Hardware field above, the bug is present in MacOS. In my experience, in BugSur and Monterey
