Embroidery fonts

Hello,
While searching for my fonts on pirate sites, I found one of my fonts on a site, used for embroidery by a small business, under a different name.
I searched sites with theses BX fonts and found many well known fonts, sometimes under names different from the original TTF or OTF ones. I understand some very expensive software convert TTF to BX.
Are those BX fonts retailers authorized to sell them without paying for a licence? And I didn't see them mentioning the original designers.

The only one I know of that's legit is called Digitizing with Love. They sell my fonts through various channels like Etsy, and I get a commission.1
