exporting/editing/transmogrification of ~plaintext hinting data

Hello comrades, it's been a minute.

Do we have any tools for doing things to hinting data in text form besides ttx? For example, is there a tool that's done something silly with UFOs?

    I want to edit VTT tables outside of VTT. Usually I dump them via ttx and do my surgery that way, but I wonder what the state of the art is for that these days. Are there newer tools that allow this?
