We’re excited to announce a pre-conference warm up for our Font Business 2025 conference, which takes part online on June 14 and 15.
On May 31 we are hosting 2 FREE seminars focusing on the structure of the font industry and its lingo. These are geared towards beginners and newbies in the font world but all are welcome! Also, if you would like to submit terms for us to explain in seminar 1, just post below in the comments!
Seminar 1: Font Business Lingo
Ever wished you had a dictionary that explains the most common terms used in font business? The seminar will walk you through easy to grasp definitions of the insider lingo with the aim of de-mystifying the basic building blocks of the font world.
Seminar 2: The Structure of the Font Industry
This seminar provides an introduction to how the font industry is structured between designers, service providers, foundries, and distributors. It also outlines the various sources of income in fonts.

It was an immensely useful webinar, as all the previous ones I have watched.
I wasn't misled by the fact that 80% of the main story is for beginners, because I knew that the other 20% would be a gem. Especially questions, and additional information that we got as the side talk developed. Also very important, basic stuff that somehow missed me so far.
I can imagine the scale of this effect when it comes to the Font Business Conference this month. Thanks, Nadine!3 -

ILT pays to its foundry partners for both Desktop and OEM licenses?ILT does not sell OEM licenses. OEM queries are directed to the foundry.
