Generating fonts (No AI involved)

After years of working with stroke-based systems, I finally developed a workflow I'm genuinely happy with for creating parametric type design spaces. It combines Noordzij's stroke theory with modern interpolation techniques.
The system lets you define your own parameters rather than being constrained by predefined ones (looking at you, Metafont), making it much more adaptable to real design needs.
I've been refining this for my LTTR/INK work, but it's actually tool-agnostic. The core approach works in Glyphs with some custom scripts I've built.
I'm running a small workshop (May 4 + 18) to share this methodology with other designers. We'll cover:
- Building parametric systems that respect design intent
- Creating flexible master sets that blend smoothly
- Techniques for rapid prototyping type variations
Would love to hear from anyone who's explored similar approaches or has questions about parametric design systems!
