WAVE (Writing as Visual Experience)

A conference about writing has recently taken place in Cambridge. It's called WAVE, that is, Writing as Visual Experience (19th-22nd September). It's been hosted by Views Project (https://viewsproject.wordpress.com), lead by Philippa Steele. The atmosphere has been fantastic throughout the three days of speeches.
During the conference, we the attendants have enjoyed loads of good content, from ancient writing practices to two artistic points of view about writing. There has even been a typographical approach: David Březina delivered the speech "Structural analysis of the visual appearance of scripts".
With WAVE and Grafematik (Grapholinguistics in the 21st Century, https://grafematik2024.sciencesconf.org), we now have two remarkable conferences focused on all things writing, great opportunities to gather with people (academic and not) with similar interests and very diverse backgrounds.
I hope this is of interest to the Typedrawers community.
