Are there any specific books where I can learn about italics and how to design them? I have recently purchased a book by Hendrik Weber titled ''Italic What gives Typography its emphasis''.

Eryk, I'm assuming you're specifically referring to Latin italics?
Things get a lot more complicated (and interesting) when looking at typographic emphasis of other scripts.0 -
