Question about identifying font type

Hi there, I am building a big scale model of the 1980 Renault RE20 F1 car with a driver figure representing Rene Arnoux. The decals for his racing suit and helmet I design and print myself. Do you know which typefont has been used for Rene's helmet's 'autograph'? It is familiar but I cannot pinpoint it.



Noteworthy: different types of helmets from Rene Arnoux show differently typeset autographs throughout time. Apparently the taste of the moment was more important than personal brand consistency, although I doubt this concept had already been adopted back in Rene's heyday.
