Help Needed - Trying to understand the typeface research and purchasing process

I’m trying to better understand the typeface research and purchasing process. It’s a new world for me and unfortunately, I don’t have very many personal contacts who are able to advise me. I’ve put together a very brief - 3 min - survey to get a better idea of the overall process. If anyone has experience in purchasing typeface, I would love to know more about your experience through this survey. Any advice you can provide would be a HUGE help!

True. But a lot of us sell font licenses, so we know a fair bit about the process, and even how it varies from client to client or user to user.
