Obtaining a Type Designer Position

You might already be doing this, but if you’re in NYC – one of the places with the highest density of type designers and relevant goings-on – you’re really in the best position for exploring the type scene, growing your knowledge and experience, and getting to know the people. I don’t think getting a type design job is easy anywhere, but at least getting introduced to the people and learning more is arguably easier here than elsewhere.
