  • Re: Donate to TypeDrawers (2017 Edition)

Monthly costs are about the same a licensing a single weight of a typeface from a reputable type foundry. Anything extra will be saved in case our grandfathered rate changes or we need to have a custom tool developed by vanilla or, assuming none of those things come to pass, to pay for subsequent years.
  • Re: On counting Points

Hrant was banned before Typedrawers had moderators. The ban was lifted long ago. Stephen has never lied about this nor hidden the truth—he wasn’t an admin or a moderator when the ban went into place.

Stephen isn’t part of the moderation team anymore. He hasn’t been for over a year now.

If you’re being threatened, let us know so we can deal with it.
  • Re: Changes to Reactions

@John Hudson I’ll file a request with Vanilla.

See, the problem with these reaction buttons is: I agree with your analysis of accountability, but I disagree with blowing up the moon, so I am not sure which button to press.
In that case, I would suggest replying.

The problem with the old system is that it was too easy to be malicious.

Vote Up was added as a way to balance the vote down; a way to add a bit of balance to the negativity.

I think adding insightful would be fine.

Georg, I’m not sure what you mean by the “automatic removing of messages.” It would be nice if there was an option for the moderators to have a list of all the negative flags, unfortunately Vanilla does not offer such a service on the backend.
