By the way, is there any math font where U+1D453 is not just the italic f with a different spacing? Of course, the letter u needs some special care to be different from nu, but I have never seen any recommendation about U+1D4…

It is 2017, you don’t need all scripts in a single font file (and you can’t, the glyph limit for OpenType fonts is 65535 glyphs per font file).
Yea and talking about Noto, there are I think some scripts with differen…
It's easy to get obsessed over this kind of details. Usually I just set my overshoots to about the same value or according to the shape width, then after modeling all your glyphs when you print test pages you can actually look and tweak overshoots i…
@Georg Seifert With defcon, if name in font is O(1) (set*) whereas with the previous solution you have to do for all names if name in diacritics which is O(n), n length of the list.

(nitpicking but) you can do better than that: since you have the list of glyph names you care about, you don't need to loop through all glyphs in the font:
for font in AllFonts():
for n in diacritics:
if n not…

"a gray color as if there is no vector in the glyph"
Well from your image, K L M etc. don't have vectors and they don't have a grey background. As said above, it shows glyphs that were modified so I assume you did some kind of changes to the glyphs…
In French it can be every letter on the right side, caps accented or otherwise.
You might be able to do some cherry-picking on the left handside, but not worth it imo.
Specially considering that apostrophe was used much more in the middle of words…

FLVI has it.
I feel like vertical serifs in the caps are too tiny. I mean it's almost like z has bigger serifs than Z.
8 should have the top slightly smaller than the bottom to be able to stand on its feet. I'd do a bit of the same treatment to 2.
V, W look thin…
> Also another question I wonder about is how and when would one actually use these glyphs in an Adobe-Latin 3 font
Afaict Adobe put these in their charset because they are on Apple keyboard e.g. Option+w is ∑.

Let’s not forget that at least we have some of our own people talking to them about the typography UI now,
IMO the bottleneck is and has been the engineering time they devote to it rather than a lack of ideas.
