LetterFrequencyMeter aka TextAnalyser

A text analysis tool, to be used in the TypeMedia classes to compare multilingual texts and measure the frequency of appearance of glyphs, which can be useful for developing KerningTable.

Beta version is available here http://www.typotheque.com/type_utilities/LetterFrequencyMeter.app0.9b.sit

Because it is UniCode based, it will work with majority of languages. The current version will recognize Latin, Greek and Cyrillic glyphs, and sort them according to their formal attributes. The results include stats of round/square/open/diagonal left and right sides of glyphs, ratio of vowels/consonants, and glyphs with accents, ascenders and descenders.

JustVanRossum did all the programming. VeraEvstafieva helped with Cyrillic specifications, and PanosHaratzopoulos with Greek.
