Hello everyone, I just want to know which software is best to create Urdu or Acabic font with accents and where should I learn it to develop a font? I am really new to this, I hope your help will guide me to succes in this.
I recommend contacting Omar Type Foundry in Lahore. They make what I consider the best OpenType format Arabic script fonts, in terms of both design and technical capability.
That said, if you are interested in making a nastaliq font, be aware that the OpenType format wasn't designed to handle cascading styles of Arabic script, and it is very ill-suited to controlling the relationships of mark positioning and inter-lettergroup spacing in such styles, especially where the Urdu ے (barree yeh) letter is involved.

Thank you so much John, I finally learned URDU and Arabic font development by another person. It was technical and complex but just time taking.
