As @Peter Constable told me, there are some experiments about turning feature tags into axis tags. So generally is it a good idea? In fact some OT features can be really represented into variations (like ruby, which is pretty an example of opsz).
@Dave Crossland Yes, like this, while the range of feature-axis would be [0, +∞], and any non-zero value represents that this feature is on. A typical on value is 1.
