Links to pdf

The way PDFs are linked in the forum is not ideal. Normally, if you click on a pdf, it is shown right in the browser. But here it is downloaded. This is especially annoying on iOS as you need to move it into iBooks just to have a look.

Agreed also why can't non-members see them?

I agree, Georg. I’ll look into this. If someone understands the HTML reason why this might be happening, please let me know so I can expedite the change.

Adrien, I didn’t realize non-members couldn’t see PDFs. This is not what we want and I’ll ask the forum hosts to fix this too.

Good news. I installed Vanilla’s new Advanced Editor which offers much better file uploading and thumbnail generator. Unfortunately PDFs don’t get thumbnails, but they now load in the browser rather than download as files, and non-members will still be able to see them.
